Planning to attend our event in Dubai, UAE? We’re delighted to welcome participants from around the world to one of the most connected and vibrant cities in the Middle East. To help you prepare, please review the following visa-related information.

Visa on Arrival:
Citizens of over 50 countries — including the EU, UK, US, Canada, and Australia — are eligible for a free 30-day visa on arrival in the UAE. Please check if your nationality qualifies before travel.

Pre-arranged Visa Required:
If you are not eligible for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival, you must apply for a visa in advance. This can often be arranged through:

  • The UAE embassy or consulate in your country, or

  • Your airline or hotel, which may sponsor your visa application.

Passport Requirements:
Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into the UAE.

If you require an official invitation letter to support your visa application, please email lisa.mommaerts@ifma.org with the following information:

  • Full Name (as it appears on passport)

  • Passport Number

  • Country of Citizenship

  • Embassy to address the letter to

  • Company Name

  • Job Title

  • Email Address

We recommend starting your visa process well in advance to ensure a smooth travel experience.

Requirements for international attendees: You may also need to provide proof of accommodation, return flight tickets, and possibly proof of sufficient funds for their stay.

Getting around in Dubai

From Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Dubai World Trade Centre (Za’abeel Hall 6)
Distance: Approximately 10 km
Estimated Travel Time: 10–20 minutes

🚗 Private Airport Transfer (Recommended)

For a smooth and stress-free arrival, consider booking a private transfer through services like Blacklane, Careem Business, or your hotel. These typically offer door-to-door service with a professional meet-and-greet at the airport.

 

🚕 Ride-Hailing Services

Careem and Uber are widely available in Dubai. After clearing immigration and customs, you can order a ride via the app.

  • Both apps work seamlessly with international credit cards.

  • Rides to the Dubai World Trade Centre typically cost between AED 35–60 (approx. €9–15).

🚇 Dubai Metro (Fast and Affordable)

Dubai’s metro is clean, safe, and efficient — a great option for budget-conscious travelers.

  • From the Airport: Take the Red Line from Airport Terminal 1 or 3.

  • Stop at: World Trade Centre Station (direct stop, no transfers needed).

  • Walking distance: Just a few minutes from the station to Za’abeel Hall 6.

A Nol Card (transport card) is required for metro travel — available at airport stations.

Dubai has excellent infrastructure, with wide roads and clearly marked signage. Whether you prefer private transport or public transit, it’s easy to get around:

  • Taxis are regulated and metered.

  • The Metro connects all major districts, from Downtown to Dubai Marina.

  • Trams and buses are available in key areas.
